    Company Information

Calico is made up of three companies with a shared vision:
to provide quality services that make a difference to people’s lives

Calico Homes owns and manages homes in Pennine Lancashire and aims to make a difference to the quality of life of individuals and the wider communities in which it works.

It's governed by a voluntary board of directors, made up of customers, people nominated by the council, and independent experts in housing, business or regeneration.

The board meets every six weeks to make key decisions, help shape the overall direction of the company and monitor its performance.  Calico Homes is regulated by a government agency called the TSA.

Calico Homes services and the improvement to its homes are paid for by a combination of loans from banks and building societies, and the rents collected from customers.  Community regeneration work is often paid for by grants that Calico submits bids for.

Calico Enterprise delivers a range of projects across the North of England to: provide housing-related support; tackle worklessness; and give information and advice.

The charitable company was established in 2007 to provide apprenticeships, job opportunities, and support for local people and is a subsidiary of Calico Homes.

If you want to develop projects to support the community, Calico Enterprise would like to help you meet that challenge.  To find out more about working in partnership with Calico Enterprise, contact us at the address below.

ELWRA was originally formed in 1974 and, on 1 April 2011, became a subsidiary company of Calico Homes Limited. It is a registered charity and has its own Board of Trustees.
